Eileen McCabe

Eileen joined Mendes & Mount, LLP in 1989 and has worked her way to becoming an Equity Partner at the firm. With over 20 years of experience, she has represented insurers in litigation, alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and mediation, successfully defending clients in Federal and State Courts nationwide. Many of these cases involved stakes of tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.

Eileen's practice encompasses representing insurers in complex bankruptcy proceedings, including high-profile cases such as In Re Mid-Valley Inc., In Re Federal-Mogul, and In Re W.R. Grace. She also provides expert analyses and opinions on coverage, allocation, and other insurance-related issues, securing favorable settlements in numerous intricate matters. Additionally, Eileen is involved in the direct defense of clients in product liability cases.

In recognition of her expertise, Eileen was selected by Benchmark as one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation in 2015 and 2016. She was named a Litigation Star and Local Litigation Star by Benchmark in 2016. Eileen was also selected to Super Lawyers for 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024 for Top Rated Insurance Coverage Attorney in New York, New York.

Eileen currently serves on the Management Committee for Mendes & Mount, LLP.
