Ed Lanquist represents clients in matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, intellectual property, and technology law.

Mr. Lanquist's legal practice focuses on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, intellectual property counseling, trademark prosecution, and technology law. With more than 30 years of practicing intellectual property (IP) law, he has legal experience with a variety of IP issues. He has prosecuted more than 150 patent applications and more than 1,400 trademark registration applications. This vast IP prosecution experience lends itself well to the courtroom, where he has litigated more than 170 intellectual property cases.

He counsels clients on how to structure their IP portfolios, as well as the economic implications of IP protection and litigation. He has performed numerous patent studies, including freedom to operate, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions, and more than 1,000 trademark use and registration opinions. Additionally, he counsels clients on a wide variety of technologies including artificial intelligence and its effect on IP strategies. Mr. Lanquist speaks and has been nationally published on the intersection of AI and IP.

Mr. Lanquist provides pro-bono services to non-profit organizations in their attempts to protect trademarks.
