Dušan is a founding partner of NITSCHNEIDER & PARTNERS law firm and leads the Employment, Litigation, and Intellectual Property practices from its Bratislava office. With more than 20 years of experience, he is a trusted advisor to both local and international clients, providing strategic guidance on complex employment matters in and out of court.
Renowned for his unconventional thinking and creative legal strategies, Dušan represents clients in high-stakes litigation, particularly in wrongful termination cases involving white-collar employees and disputes concerning non-compete agreements.
A significant turning point in Dušan Nitschneider’s professional journey came in 2012, when NITSCHNEIDER & PARTNERS became the first Slovak member of Ius Laboris, the world’s leading alliance of law firms specialising in labour and employment law. This milestone strengthened the firm’s position among the top employment law practices in Slovakia and enhanced its international profile.
Dušan also plays an active role in the wider European legal community. Since 2013, he has served as a board member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA). In 2018, he was entrusted with organising and hosting the EELA Annual Conference in Bratislava — the first time the event was held in Slovakia — attracting over 400 participants from across Europe.
In 2023, Dušan was elected Vice-Chair of EELA, further solidifying his reputation as one of the leading figures in the field of European employment law.
Beyond his legal work, he is actively involved in legal education and advisory services, delivering training to clients, public institutions, and international organizations. Dušan is also a frequent speaker at industry seminars and conferences, where he shares insights on emerging trends in employment law.
As part of the firm's leadership, he is responsible for setting the office’s strategic direction and overseeing key business initiatives.
