Donna McCarthy

Donna is the Head of Devonshires’ Housing Management and Property Litigation department. She has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of housing management acting for numerous social housing. She manages a large team of specialist housing lawyers and has a broad practice which covers everything from complex litigation to drafting and advising on tenancy agreements, policies and management agreements.

She also regularly advises housing and care providers in respect of tenancy and occupation related issues including safeguarding referrals and safeguarding adults’ boards; mental capacity issues and multi-agency working.

Donna has featured in the 'CILEx Journal' and 'The Law Society Gazette', discussing the experiences of lawyers since the pandemic began, and 'Inside Housing', commenting on how the June 2020 proposals regarding possession proceedings could cause difficulties for social landlords. Donna has also featured in LawCareers.net discussing her route into law.
