Career
Doil Son is a partner at Yulchon practicing primarily in the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), Data Privacy and Cyber Security including Trade Secret Protection as well as crisis management. Throughout his career, Doil represented both multinational and domestic clients across numerous industries in matters including artificial intelligence, big data, block chain, cyber security, data privacy and fintech. Doil also actively provides legal advice to the Korean government with regards to AI, big data and fintech.
Doil currently serves as Vice-Chair of the International Bar Association’s Technology Law Committee, while also serving as Vice-Chair of Inter-Pacific Bar Association’s TMT committee. Doil is also a Board Member of TechLaw. Doil has presented his view on various issues related to technology in international and domestic conferences including the IBA and the IPBA.
