Diana is a seasoned attorney who provides practical advice in the areas of government contracts, bankruptcy and construction law. With eight years of experience in the construction sector managing federal compliance for a large, national general contractor, she has an insider’s perspective and a clear understanding of the vital issues facing the industry.
Diana has a national practice in which she represents contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, project owners, and other parties on all manner of contract issues involved in large-scale government and commercial construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects. She manages and litigates complex disputes and has successfully handled complex cases related to claims, defective contract specifications, differing site conditions, delays, acceleration and lost productivity, mechanic’s and material liens, breach of standards of care, contract terminations, and Miller Act claims.
As a member of the firm’s Construction and Federal Government Contracts group, she centers her practice on federal compliance and provides advice on bet-the-company risks. She conducts investigations and counsels companies on potential exposure to allegations of misconduct related to the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Act, and Combating Trafficking In Persons violations. She leverages her insider perspective, having managed a federal compliance program for a leading U.S. federal contractor, to provide practical and pragmatic regulatory advice. Diana has managed more than 1,400 cases related to FCA causes of action in the Eastern District of Virginia.
Before entering legal practice, Diana worked at large, national general contractor where she managed $2.5 billion in federal work and $3 billion in private work. In 2007, she was named one of Mississippi's first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professionals (LEED AP) by the Green Building Council.
