Dia C. Forrester is a practitioner in Grenada and St Kitts & Nevis with a strong track record in complex civil and commercial litigation, real estate law, commercial and corporate transactions, energy law, public law and regulatory matters. She is particularly noted for her work at the intersection of government advisory, complex disputes and transactional matters, drawing on senior experience in both public office and private practice.
As Head of Chambers at Forrester Legal Chambers, she advises governments, corporate clients, international and regional institutions, and law firms on a broad range of local and cross-border matters. Her work includes energy law, commercial and trusts litigation, real estate and commercial transactional work, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and regulatory advisory.
Dia's public service career included her appointment as the first female Attorney General of Grenada, where she served as the government’s principal legal adviser and represented the State in significant negotiations and legal proceedings. She previously served as Solicitor General of Grenada, leading key legal policy initiatives and major government litigation.
Following her public service, she served as an acting High Court Judge in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, presiding over civil, commercial and, electoral disputes.
In private practice, Dia has advised regional and international clients on banking and finance, commercial disputes, insolvency, energy projects, taxation and regulatory compliance, with her work frequently intersecting with real estate development, commercial transactions and energy-related matters.
