Practice Areas
Deirdre leads EY Law Ireland's employment law team, working with the wider EY Law and EY network to offer clients integrated and seamless solutions. She has over 20 years' experience acting for private and public sector clients advising on all aspects of employment law from recruitment to termination.
Key areas in which Deirdre works to support clients includes: workforce transformation (strategy connected to benefits, remote and hybrid working, right to disconnect, talent retention management), HR advisory (industrial/employee relations issues, protected disclosures, grievances, dignity at work and disciplinary matters), Equality issues (pay transparency, gender pay gap reporting and equality complaints to the Workplace Relations Commission), Investigations, TUPE and workforce restructuring (including individual and collective redundancies).
Deirdre regularly represents employer clients before the WRC and Courts. As a qualified CEDR accredited Mediator, she brings extensive experience of successful mediation and dispute resolution to her clients.
Deirdre joined EY Law Ireland as one of its founding partners and Head of Employment Law in 2021. She is an active member of the Law Society of Ireland's Employment & Equality Committee.
