Dawn Goodman

Dawn has a wealth of experience litigating and working proactively with wealth-holding structures across the trust world, Europe, South America, Russia & CIS and the Middle East. She is qualified in England & Wales, BVI and Eire and also admitted to the Paris Bar as Consultante Juridique Etrangere. She acts in and advises on litigation and mediation spanning the whole range of trust and succession issues, from prophylactic litigation to the most hostile of cross border and multi jurisdiction cases. Previously a divorce lawyer, she also advises trustees and beneficiaries caught up in divorce proceedings. Garnering her experience as a litigator and fiduciary for UHNW families, Dawn advises families, family offices and businesses, trustees and other power holders on governance and reduction/ management of fiduciary risk. She applies her understanding of conflicts of laws, geopolitical risk, family tensions and succession to wealth and businesses to help clients create or restructure into robust trust and succession vehicles with sufficient flexibility to continue through to succeeding generations.

Having represented parties for many years in mediation and experienced being party to mediation herself, Dawn became a CEDR accredited mediator. She specialises in mediating trust and succession disputes. Dawn is passionate about what mediation can achieve through working with families and fiduciaries to come up with creative, effective solutions. She describes her role as an empathetic shuttle diplomat, helping the parties to arrive at an outcome which enables everyone to move on with their lives. Sometimes it can result in reconciliation.
