Work Highlights
The Florida Bar asked Board Certified expert business litigator David Steinfeld to author and edit the chapter on the Sale and Purchase of Business for its Florida Small Business Practice handbook in the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th editions.
The jury verdict that Mr. Steinfeld obtained for his clients in the Palm Beach County Circuit Court case of Michael and Beth Miskiewicz vs. Kurt and Sheri Predmore where the Predmores failed to disclose known material defects in the sale of their home to Mr. and Mrs. Miskiewicz was evaluated and determined by TopVerdict.com to be the second highest verdict issued in such a case in the entire State of Florida in 2018.
In 2017, David Steinfeld was recognized with the prestigious Top 100 Florida Verdicts for a $1,000,000 jury verdict he obtained for Bargain Bob’s Carpets in 2016 on a defamation and tortious interference case against West Palm Beach resident Jack Stein. The jury found that Mr. Stein posted defamatory remarks about Bargain Bob’s on a website and in a community circular that damaged the business. This was the second largest verdict for online defamation obtained in the State of Florida and was the largest such verdict obtained in Florida on this issue in 2016.
