Career

David Donahue's courtroom experience benefits clients in protection and enforcement issues relating to copyright, trademark, unfair competition, right-of-publicity, design-patent, and commercial matters. His commercial litigation experience also informs his approach to negotiating and drafting commercial agreements involving intellectual property matters. A former clerk to federal judges in the Southern District of New York and the Second Circuit, David has deep litigation experience before federal and state trial and appellate courts and the TTAB.

He represents clients throughout diverse sectors, including sports, fitness, hospitality, food and beverage, fashion, music, and literary works. As a member of INTA's prestigious International Amicus Committee, David has co-authored amicus briefs in several of the most significant recent trademark cases heard by the Supreme Court.
