David Conklin is a partner at Goodmans. He regularly leads internal investigations and represents issuers, directors and officers before securities regulators. David advises boards and management teams on managing litigation risks. Before joining Goodmans in 2007, David was a partner at a leading Toronto litigation boutique. David received his LL.M from Columbia University in New York City focusing on capital markets, corporate finance and governance issues. In 2006 he passed the New York Bar and began practicing with one of the most prominent securities and class action firms in the United States.

Since 2007, David has taught courses on corporate governance and merger and acquisitions in the Schulich School of Business MBA program and the University of Toronto’s GPLLM. David was inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers in recognition of his career of excellence, demonstrated through his skills, experience, ethics, and civility.

He is a member of the The Advocate’s Society, American Bar Association, and Ontario Bar Association.
