Dan D’Ambrosio is a partner in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and member of the Firm’s Sustainability Practice Group.
Dan helps clients to navigate sustainability legal matters across a range of corporate, fund formation and sustainable finance transactions, regulatory compliance matters and complex disputes and crises. Dan has supported clients to navigate emerging sustainability regulatory frameworks such as SFDR and EU Taxonomy and translate requirements into strategy, governance, policies and risk management processes, investor negotiations as well as downstream M&A transactions.
Dan has been advising on business and human rights matters for over a decade, supporting clients to navigate compliance with international human rights standards and frameworks such as the OECD Guidelines and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and related legal and regulatory requirements on human rights disclosure and due diligence and forced labour. He has supported clients to translate requirements into practice through corporate and supply chain compliance frameworks, risk assessments, commercial contracts and disclosures.
Dan has supported clients to respond to complex human rights disputes and crises and to mitigate associated liability risks. This has included advising on parent company liability risks across a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, advising on disputes before OECD National Contact Points and UN Mechanisms and designing effective grievance mechanisms.
