Daniel Busse represents clients in particular in energy, corporate and infrastructure project disputes. He possesses many years of experience with proceedings under the rules of the DIS, ICC, ICSID, SIAC, LCIA and the Swiss Rules, in addition to many other arbitration rules.
Career
Before founding Busse Disputes in 2019, Daniel Busse was a partner at leading international law firms for more than 14 years. He built the German dispute resolution practice group of a "Magic Circle" law firm and led the practice for more than eight years.
Professional Memberships
Daniel has or has had a variety of positions and functions within professional organisations. He served as an honorary professor at a German university, was a member of the Drafting Committee that revised the DIS Arbitration Rules, and served on the IBA Task Force to review the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration (adopted in December 2020). He is currently a member of the International Advisory Board of VIAC and also serves on similar bodies.
