Craig Howell Williams KC specialises in planning and related areas of public law. He is acknowledged as a leading practitioner in the planning field and has acted in many high profile cases. He represents developers, landowners, operators, local authorities, and third parties at public inquiries (planning appeals and local plan hearings) and in the High Court and other tribunals. He is regularly involved in large planning/major infrastructure schemes, including urban extensions (eg South West Milton Keynes and North of Luton), town centre developments (eg tall buildings in London), airport expansions (at London Heathrow and Stansted), transport infrastructure (eg the Kent International Gateway proposal), local development plans, CPOs, heritage related developments and employment, leisure, retail and other commercial projects. Craig was appointed and has previously served as Junior Counsel to the Crown (B Panel), and since then has appeared in a number of significant court cases (recently the JR challenge to the Mayor of London’s ULEZ scheme). He is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator and a member of the RICS President's Mediation Panel.
