Christopher is a children law specialist and practises exclusively within this field. He is joint head of the St Philips Children Law Team and a Recorder deployed to sit in family on the Northern Circuit. He has extensive experience in complex public law cases, including those involving child death, non-accidental head injury, serious physical abuse, serious sexual abuse, trafficking, honour-based violence, FII, international adoption and the inherent jurisdiction. A significant amount of his work is at High Court level and he also conducts matters in the Court of Appeal. He provides regular legal training, both internally and externally, and is an approved pupil supervisor.
Christopher was educated in Belfast before moving to Scotland in 1998 to undertake his law degree. Having completed his Bar exams at Nottingham Law School in 2003, he was called to the Bar later the same year. He joined St Philips Chambers in Birmingham in 2004 and has remained there ever since. In 2018, he was appointed as a Recorder, deployed to sit in family on the Northern Circuit.
