Christopher “Chris” Timmons is a commercial litigator and trial attorney at Knowles Gallant Timmons in Atlanta, focusing on complex business litigation, high-stakes jury trials and Georgia RICO matters. He has tried more than 100 cases, including over 60 jury trials, serving primarily as sole or chief counsel.
His experience includes partnership disputes, breach of contract claims, business torts, employment litigation, public corruption matters, opioid litigation, police brutality claims and gambling-related disputes. Chris also regularly advises attorneys and clients on trial strategy, jury selection and courtroom presentation in complex litigation matters.
In addition to his trial work, Chris has argued multiple cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. He is widely recognized for his experience handling matters involving Georgia’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
Prior to joining Knowles Gallant Timmons, Chris served for more than 17 years as a prosecutor in DeKalb and Cobb Counties, where he handled significant criminal prosecutions and extensive courtroom litigation. He also practiced as a litigation associate at King & Spalding in Atlanta and Taft Stettinius & Hollister in Cincinnati.
For more than 14 years, Chris has served as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University College of Law, teaching Trial Advocacy and Jury Selection. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and is a Master in the Bleckley Inn of Court.
