Christopher Stimpson

Christopher Stimpson has twenty years’ experience as a criminal advocate, practising in the field of serious crime. For ten years he has specialised in the defence and prosecution of serious sexual offences, drugs and violence - from indecent assaults to serial rape and murder. He is instructed regularly by the specialist sexual offences team at CPS RASSO, a Grade 4 prosecutor, and is favoured counsel for numerous leading solicitors at top tier criminal firms. There is invariably press interest in the work he does. He has been instructed in hundreds of cases at various stages of the criminal process; pre-charge through to the Court of Appeal. For the last three years – in part due to COVID - he has also worked for the Serious Fraud Office, the NCA and HMRC as independent counsel advising on Legal Professional Privilege on an ‘front page news’ frauds.
