Christine is Chairman of Brodies LLP and a recognised expert on public and constitutional law issues. She is a solicitor advocate, First Standing Junior Counsel to the Scottish Government and a member of the Equality and Human Rights Commission's panel of counsel in Scotland. She appears regularly in the Court of Session and has been instructed in a number of significant Supreme Court cases.
Christine advises clients on legislation and statutory interpretation, the powers and duties of public bodies including the Scottish Parliament, and freedom of information laws and data protection. She is experienced in media law issues including defamation, contempt of court and privacy. She acts for a range of Scottish and UK clients including the Scottish Government, BBC Scotland, the Gambling Commission, the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, the Scottish Charity Regulator and the Scottish Qualifications Authority. She is co-author of Scotland's Constitution: Law and Practice.
