His practice encompasses leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, significant minority investments, add-on acquisitions, divestitures, and general corporate governance matters. Christian brings deep industry experience in healthcare, financial technology, business services, industrials and consumer transactions, with a particular expertise in global carveouts and cross-border work. He is actively involved in the firm’s efforts to leverage artificial intelligence for differentiated solutions.

Recognized as a leading deal practitioner, Christian is regularly quoted on private capital market trends. Before joining Ropes & Gray, Christian worked as a management consultant with the Monitor Group and served as a Rosenthal Fellow in the Office for European and NATO Policy at the Pentagon.

Christian maintains an active commitment to civic leadership and pro bono service. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the formation of the COVID Relief Coalition, a public-private partnership that provided critical support to nonprofits and small businesses. In recognition of this leadership, Christian received the Adams Pro Bono Publico Award from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Christian served previously as an appointee of the Mayor of Boston to the Board of Trustees of the Boston Public Library.
