Christer Danielsson

Christer Danielsson is a full-time independent arbitrator with extensive experience in international arbitration. He has served as arbitrator in over 200 cases during the last twenty years. His experience spans both ad hoc proceedings and arbitrations conducted under institutional rules, including the ICC Rules, the Swedish SCC Rules, the German DIS Rules and the Danish DIA Rules.

Before becoming a full time arbitrator in 2018 he gained significant experience as counsel in commercial disputes. Prior thereto he was a leading M&A lawyer in the Nordic region, including acting as lead counsel in the successive creation of the largest Nordic bank Nordea.

Christer was president of the Swedish Bar between 2017 and 2021 and between 2014 and 2017 he was chair of the Swedish Arbitration Association.

Career

Between 1992 and 2006 Christer was with leading Swedish firm Gernandt & Danielsson. For the last 20 years he has been working alone or in small settings.
