Focussing primarily on corporate social responsibility, Channa Samkalden has been at the forefront of many high-profile cases on business and human rights, including cases against Royal Dutch Shell, Heineken and the Entrepreneurial Development Bank FMO. She has a wide experience in various jurisdictions, both in traditional litigation and soft law mechanisms.

In addition to her international practice, Channa Samkalden also focusses on violations of fundamental rights within the Netherlands. She received her doctorate from the European University Institute in Italy on the topic of religious freedom and the separation of state and religion.
