Chai brings over 16 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and project development. He has a strong focus on the renewable energy sector, structuring and executing complex cross-border deals across solar, wind, biomass, waste-to-energy, and hydroelectric power. His expertise spans greenfield and brownfield projects, guiding clients through the bidding process, structuring, financing, regulatory approvals, and operational execution. He is well-versed in the nuances of energy project lifecycles, including construction and supply agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), operation and maintenance agreements, EPC contracts, and joint ventures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and commercial frameworks.

Beyond energy, Chai has extensive experience in technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) transactions, particularly in the growing data center sector. He advises major industry players on corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, and M&A, helping them navigate digital infrastructure regulations and investment structuring. His commercial insight and sector-specific knowledge enable him to deliver strategic legal solutions that align with clients’ business objectives.
