Catherine Longeval

Practice Areas

Catherine specialises in dispute resolution before the Belgian courts and arbitral tribunals. She advises clients on a wide range of issues, including life sciences law, distribution law, product liability, general commercial law and employment law.

In the field of life sciences law, Catherine’s expertise covers inter alia medicines, medical devices, cosmetics and food supplements. She regularly acts for leading multinationals, providing multidimensional advice and coordinating pan-European projects.

She co-chairs the Life Sciences Practice Group (LSPG), a network of mainly European law firms with strong life sciences regulatory expertise, established at the initiative of Van Bael & Bellis.

Catherine is Co-Chair of the IBA’s Healthcare & Life Sciences Law Committee. She regularly speaks at conferences and publishes widely on her areas of expertise.

Career

Joined Van Bael & Bellis in 1994, became a Partner in 1997.
