Practice Areas
Attorney and Founder of Novare Stratège Légal inc., Me Deslauriers practices in labour and employment law, worker's compensation law as well as occupational health and safety (OHS), including within the construction industry. She acts as a strategic partner to organizations in managing matters where legal, operational and human considerations are closely intertwined.
Prior to founding Novare, Me Deslauriers practiced for several years in leading law firms, including as a partner, developing a practice defined by rigour, legal depth and professional excellence. She now brings this discipline and expertise to an agile, boutique‑style practice focused on sustainable, practical solutions.
Her practice notably covers workers’ compensation claims, disability management, absenteeism, legal compliance and workplace risk management. She is regularly called upon to intervene in investigations conducted by public bodies such as the CNESST, the CCQ and other authorities, including matters arising from serious workplace accidents. Her previous experience within the CNESST, as well as in the litigation department of an employers’ association in the construction industry, provides her with a concrete and in‑depth understanding of employers’ operational realities.
Beyond litigation, Me Deslauriers adopts a preventive, structured and solutions‑oriented approach, focusing on legal diagnostics, training, strategic advisory services and the continuous improvement of HR and OHS practices.
Driven by a desire to align her professional practice with her personal values, she founded Novare as a firm with an integrated social mission. A portion of the firm’s fees is dedicated to developing initiatives that support people living with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers — a cause that shapes her vision of a legal practice that is rigorous, human‑centred and purpose‑driven.
