Carolina Mendes is a partner in the Corporate, M&A and Commercial Contracts practice, with over 20 years of experience advising companies across a range of sectors, including industry and chemicals. She has extensive expertise in structuring complex transactions, shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations, as well as in advising family-owned businesses and closely held companies on governance matters.
She frequently leads multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes transactions, combining legal acumen with a deep understanding of business strategy and regulatory environments. Carolina is particularly recognised for her ability to navigate sensitive negotiations and align legal structures with long-term corporate objectives.
She holds a Master’s degree and is currently a PhD candidate in Law at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP). Her academic background is complemented by executive training in Finance and Business Valuation (Insper), Corporate Governance (IBGC), and the Regulatory Environment in Singapore (NUS Law – Singapore).
She currently serves as Regional Coordinator at the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) in Bahia.
