Carla is the founder and managing partner at Carla Junqueira & Associadas Trade Law. She is a highly recognized expert in international trade in the major international directories such as Legal 500, Chambers and Partners, Latin Lawyer, Who's Who Legal and Best Lawyers. She believes that trade law is better served to clients from a boutique fully focused in that area of practice, that’s why she opened her own boutique focused in that practice.
Carla holds two PhD degrees in WTO Law, from the University of São Paulo and Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I). She graduated in Law from the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP). Carla concluded her master’s in law - Diplôme d'Études Approfondies (DEA) at Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I). Author of articles and books published in Brazil and abroad and frequent speaker in international seminars, Carla has been selected to compose the Brazilian indicative list of Panelists to the World Trade Organization. She has developed an extensive and successful career in trade law in Brazil and regularly teaches International Economic Law at various academic institutions.
