Brendan Lim SC

Areas of practice

Brendan accepts briefs in all areas of law. He has a focus on public and commercial law matters including competition and regulation. His public law practice includes constitutional law, administrative law, and statutory construction. He has a general commercial practice and experience in contractual disputes, equity, corporations, and private international law. In competition law matters, Brendan has acted for participants in electricity, gas, telecommunications, and transport markets in relation to restrictive trade practices, contested mergers, and access regulation.

Before coming to the bar, Brendan was Counsel Assisting the Solicitor-General of the Commonwealth (Stephen Gageler SC) and a judge’s associate at the High Court (Gageler J) and the Federal Court (Besanko J).
