Practice Areas
A past president of the Canadian Bar Association, Bernard Amyot is a founding partner of LCM Attorneys with a practice primarily focused on civil and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience before the Quebec courts and has lectured and written frequently on legal issues. His professional liability defense work extends to lawyers, stockbrokers, insurance brokers, engineers and accountants. He has acted as lead counsel in numerous class actions involving multiple jurisdictions across Canada and cross-border issues. He also has extensive experience in shareholders disputes and frequently acts as arbitrator and mediator in complex commercial matters.
Career
Mr. Amyot has always been involved in non-profit organizations focused on the arts and education, such as Brébeuf College, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the National Theatre School of Canada and the Siminovitch Prize.
