Bastien Ottaviani

Bastien supports Human resources departments of French companies and large international groups on a daily basis, assisting them in the management of their employee/management relationships and handling individual situations.

He has also developed specific expertise in career management for chief executive officers, Excom members and corporate officers, whom he assists and advises on issues including career development, investment transactions, or negotiating their termination. He regularily solves conflictual and complex departure’s situations.

Bastien Ottaviani works primarily in the automotive, retail, chemical and hotel industries..

AVOSIAL

Founded in 2004, AvoSial is an association of lawyers who devote their professional activities to representing and advising employers in the field of labor law and social security.

AvoSial brings together lawyers working in business law firms with a dedicated labor law department, as well as specialized “niche” firms.

This diversity of practices and experiences contributes to the richness of AvoSial, whose members work daily with clients of various sizes, experiencing the evolution of labor law through its many reforms and helping to shape case law through the cases they handle. As such, AvoSial is a privileged observatory of the practice and changes in labor law in France.

Thanks to the dynamism of its members, AvoSial is a unique forum for reflection, exchange, mutual assistance, debate, feedback, and knowledge sharing.

AvoSial's activities are also structured around specialized committees that enable its members to monitor reforms and, above all, to build up a body of proposals that is recognized and appreciated by the public authorities before they are drafted.

Finally, AvoSial is a meeting place for professionals who may sometimes be competitors, but who are united by common values and a shared desire to advance social relations in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

In March 1996, the Law Society of England and Wales was granted European commission funds to organize a Union-wide conference for practicing European Employment Lawyers in Brussels. The initiative came from the Society’s Employment Law Committee during Dame Janet Gaymer’s Chairmanship.
