Mr. Salahuddin advises on matters relating to Digital Banking, Electronic Money Institutions, Payment System Operators, Payment Service Providers, Non-Banking Finance Companies, Third Party Service Providers, and Branchless Banking Super Agency licenses and approvals. In the absence of adequate legislation and jurisprudence on matters involving informational technology law in Pakistan, the transaction structure adopted by Mr. Salahuddin serves as a precedent across the board, for a variety of information technology transactions and business arrangements. The key regulators of Pakistan, such as the State Bank, Securities and Exchange Commission and Ministry of Information Technology regularly seek counsel from Mr. Salahuddin.
He has played a key role in modernizing digital payments and mobile banking in Pakistan, e-money transactions, integration of payment gateways, setting up of online marketplace platforms and launch of banking & digital lending applications. Currently serving as an advisor to the Prime Minister’s committee on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in Pakistan.
Mr. Salahuddin has also served as an advisor to the Ministry of Planning Development & Special Initiatives (Pakistan), for its program on economic empowerment of Pakistan’s youth.
Assisted the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with its assessment on "Rapid Landscaping of Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture in Pakistan".
Served as a member of the standing committee on liaison with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
