Founding and Managing Partner of RMA, with more than 35 years of professional experience specialized in Energy, Infrastructure, Project Finance, Structure Finance and Restructuring. He has been recognized as leading lawyer in the Energy, Infrastructure Sectors by international reviews, including Chambers Partners Latam and Legal500. He practiced in international law firms as partner in charge of the Energy and Infrastructure Sectors including Mayer Brown, White & Case and Haynes & Boone. Also, he practiced in local law firms, including Von Wobeser, and abroad and he worked in the Mexican Federal Government during the Mexican Banking Bailout (FOBRAPROA).
Ariel has provided advice to all sort of international and local financial institutions in all different type of Energy project and related transactions, including Project Development, Project Finance, M&A and Acquisition finance of Energy and Infrastructure projects and assets. He has represented Developers, Sponsors, Contractors, Lenders and Governmental entities in the structuring, acquisition, development, financing and refinancing of projects and has provided regulatory advise for the development of Power, Reneable, LNG, Oil & Gas projects in the upstream, midstream and downstream, including hydrocarbon storage and transportation facilities, liquified natural gas (LNG), gas pipelines, power generation projects, including renewables, substations and transmission line projects and infrastructure and Public Private Partnerships (PPP).
The above has included, among other clients, ENGIE, Siemens, Holtec Int., Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon E&P, Talos, Petronas, AES Corp., Samsung, POSCO ENC., Bulkmatic, Noble Energy (now Chevron), Canadian Solar, BAS Corporation, X-Elio, Renovalia Energy, EDF and Gas Natural, Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) in LNG supply, Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA), the Mexican Ministry of Health and the Investment Unit of the Ministry of Finance (Unidad de Inversiones de la Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público).
