Anwar Darkazally

As Managing Partner of Field Intelligence and a practising solicitor, Anwar Darkazally brings a wealth of investigative, legal and diplomatic expertise to bear on high-stakes disputes, asset recovery matters and complex transactions. Anwar spent over 20 years as a diplomat and international lawyer covering the Middle East and North Africa and has a particular expertise across the region.

As both an investigator and solicitor, Anwar is well-placed to provide expert advice and testimony on clients’ behalf. His reports have been accepted before the High Court of England and Wales and international arbitration panels.

Anwar qualified as a lawyer into the corporate department of Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in London. He then headed overseas to work mostly for the United Nations Department of Political Affairs across the Middle East and Africa for nearly 20 years. Anwar left the International Civil Service to work for a leading intelligence firm as Global Head of Investigations for three years prior to Field Intelligence.

Anwar read Arabic and Modern Middle Eastern Languages at the University of Oxford. He speaks Arabic and French. Anwar is a fundraising patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital and a solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
