Ansgar Schott is a partner in Baker McKenzie's Zurich office. He is a member of the Firm's global Financial Services Group and the head of the Swiss Financial Services Group. Ansgar has advised some of the largest Swiss and international financial institutions and companies on all aspects of financial services, fintech, investment and financial markets law. He advises throughout the life cycle of regulated businesses — on launch and licensing, global expansion, business and product innovation and issuance, new regulatory developments, and in relation to compliance matters and investigations by regulators and other enforcement authorities. He has been recognized as a leading banking and finance lawyer. Further, he is also coeditor and author of the leading Swiss financial market commentaries and cochair of the annual Swiss Compliance Forum (EIZ). Finally, he has been a lecturer in banking law at the universities of Zurich and St. Gallen, as well as a speaker and panelist at international forums.
