Annabelle Angarita is an associate at Posse Herrera Ruiz. Her professional practice focuses on intellectual property, specifically in the management of brand and copyright portfolios.

Her experience includes the provision of consulting services to national and international clients related to the presentation and monitoring of trademark registration applications, the design of strategies to overcome oppositions and the rejection of registrations before the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, the preparation and follow-up of nullity actions before the Council of State, defense of cancellation marks due to lack of use and the preparation of cancellation actions based on notoriety.

She also provides advisory services in trademark licensing, coordinates the Intellectual Property Due Diligence team and the Quality Committee.

Manages the brand portfolios of Cencosud S.A. (Retail sales), Team Foods Colombia S.A. (vegetable oils and fats), Productos Naturales de la Sabana S.A. – Alquería (dairy products), Prebel S.A. (cosmetics), Protección S.A. (Pension and unemployment fund), among others.

She has been successful in overcoming oppositions for registration of trademarks such as MG (Morris Garages, now Saic Motor Corporation), Flex (Flextronics International Ltd.), Recell (Avita Medical Ltd.), Aqua-Pak (HJ Baker & Bro, LLC.), NO-XPLODE (Glanbia Nutritionals), Kold (Keurig Green Mountain, Inc.), Satrack (Satrack Inc. de Colombia Servisat SAS), Maestri (Maestri Milano SAS), Apropet (San Miguel Industrias Pet SA), B Sabadell (Banco de Sabadell SA), the design of the sole of Converse, Pague Cesantías Protección and the declaration of the Protección de Protección SA family of brands

Before joining Posse Herrera Ruiz, she worked as an associate in the intellectual property departments of local law firms and worked in the intellectual property department of Total S.A. (Oil and Gas) in France.
