Anna acts in complex and high-value clinical negligence claims which have resulted in catastrophic brain or spinal injuries. She is particularly interested in cases involving surgical negligence. Anna represents individuals, including adults who lack capacity to litigate, and children. Anna has substantial experience in drafting schedules of loss, having recently served schedules totalling £14 million and £12 million in two cases involving clients in their twenties who suffered spinal cord injuries at a young age. Anna recently settled a pressure sore claim for £500,000 and obtained judgment for a client in a hard-fought cauda equina case six days before trial.
Anna studied Law at the University of Nottingham, then undertook the Legal Practice Course which she passed with distinction. Anna qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined Potter Rees Dolan in 2022.
Memberships include the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and Leeds Medico-Legal Society.
Anna has presented to doctors and students at both York and Leeds Medical Schools on the topic ‘What must I do to be proved negligent? – principles and pointers’.
Anna plays the piano and is a regular theatre-goer. She also enjoys travelling – especially Japan, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
