Andrea has 25 years of experience in advising clients in all areas of competition law and regulation. Her experience covers mainly representation of clients before the Slovak Antimonopoly Office in cartel proceedings and abuse of dominant position cases. She has also a broad practice in merger control, preparation of compliance programs and conducting of compliance training. She regularly represents clients before the Slovak administrative courts.
Andrea currently runs her own Law firm “Advokátska kancelária Andrea Oršulová” which provides legal support to clients in the field of competition law. In addition, Andrea is regularly invited to other law firms' projects as a legal advisor in the area of competition law.
Andrea started her legal career at the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic (“SCA”) as case handler. At the SCA she held also position of Director of the Department for Second Instance proceeding. She participated in drafting of the Act No. 136/2001 Coll. on Economic Competition. Later on, she worked for the Slovak telecom companies as legal specialist for competition law and regulatory issues.
Andrea is a member of Slovak Bar Association since 2008. Andrea worked for Slovak law offices as competition law and regulatory expert (Csekes Világi Drgonec Law Office, as managing associate, ius aegis s.r.o. as Partner). From November 2014 to February 2023, she was Managing Partner of Law Office Nedelka Kubáč Oršulová advokáti s.r.o., Bratislava.
Andrea has authored or co-authored numerous articles on competition law and is also the co-author or author of several publications such as Cartel Agreements (C.H. Beck, 2009), Commentary on the Act on the Protection of Economic Competition (Wolters Kluwer, 2014), Selected procedural aspects of antitrust cases (C.H.Beck, 2022).
