Amjad specialises in banking and financial services and in advising on UAE and cross-border acquisitions. He advises on both conventional and Shari’a compliant transactions. He has also been involved in several project finance transactions and in the setting up of industrial projects in the UAE. He was involved in a transaction for the construction of a shopping mall which was one of the first syndicated project finance transactions after the 2008 financial crisis. He was also involved in a transaction involving the construction of oil storage tanks.

Co-founder and former managing partner of Afridi & Angell. Joined the firm in 1982; stepped down as managing partner in 2016 and currently a Senior Consultant.
