Her diverse work experience, exceeding 15 years, includes three and a half years at the Colombo Stock Exchange. She has several academic and professional qualifications which include LL.B (Hons), University of London, LL.M (University of Colombo), Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and Notary Public of Colombo.
