Practice Areas
Represents clients in trade, commercial and administrative matters. He has worked on numerous international trade/WTO matters, including anti-dumping, countervailing and safeguard investigations, contracting, customs, sanctions, export controls and administrative law matters. He works for a variety of clients, including major manufacturers, exporters, importers and governments.
Career
Alistair is a special counsel at Moulis Legal, key member of the firm’s international trade practice, and head of the firm’s regulatory practice. He is an expert in the handling of major trade, commercial and cross-border matters, and in administrative law, including Federal Court review of government action. Alistair is recognised as an Accredited Specialist in Administrative Law by the Law Institute of Victoria.

Publications
Articles and publications in trade journals, including the Australian chapter of Chambers ‘International Trade 2022’ Global Practice Guide and Asia Pacific Strategic Trade Controls published by World ECR as a contributing author. Most recently Alistair has finalised the Australian International Trade chapter for Mondaq International.
Personal
Alistair is a Specialist in Administrative Law accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria. He has a Masters Degree (with Merit) in Laws specialising in international law, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (with Merit) both from the Australian National University. As well, he has a Bachelor of Economics (majoring in economic analysis) and a Bachelor Degree in Law (with Honours) from the University of Tasmania. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
