Alfonso Suárez’s extensive experience includes: the hiring and dismissal of workers, implementation of workforce restructuring plans, modification of labour conditions, hiring of top executives, collective bargaining agreements and strikes, restructuring of staff, redundancy plans (with a special focus in this kind of advice as a consequence of the health crisis triggered by Covid-19, including temporary layoff schemes (ERTE’s) due to force majeure and economic, technical, organizational and production-related reasons), labor advice to companies in insolvency situation, labor due diligences, etc.

Alfonso has also broad a experience in contentious labor conflicts, both in administrative and judicial proceedings, as well as in public state and local authorities.

Career

Alfonso Suárez, Of-Counsel of the Labor Department since 2015, joined Araoz & Rueda as a partner of this area of practice in 2005. Prior to joining our firm, he was head of the Labor Department at the firm Suárez Migoyo (1980-2004).
