Alexander Gómez Pérez is a lawyer specialised in Insurance Law and Civil Liability, with more than 15 years of professional experience advising and representing insurance companies. He has been Managing Partner of OMP Abogados since 2009, where he has led the firm’s growth and development in the insurance sector. Since 2022, he has served as Conjuez of the Civil Chamber of the Superior Court of Barranquilla, following his appointment as Conjuez of the Superior Court of Cartagena in 2021. He has more than 10 years of university teaching experience, particularly in insurance law, and has taught undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Colombia and Peru. He has also participated as a speaker at international insurance law conferences in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a focus on contractual and tort liability, civil law and State liability.
