Alex Smith

Alex Smith is Co-Chair of the Civil Litigation Practice Group and a partner at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. Alex has a special focus on private wealth disputes, including oppression remedy matters and trust and estate litigation. He also has considerable experience in complex commercial disputes, pensions, class actions, and a variety of tort matters, ranging from defamation to financial fraud to conspiracy to sexual assault. He has acted for parties at all levels of Court in Ontario, in the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, at the Tax Court of Canada, and at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared before a wide range of tribunals and arbitration panels.
