Alejandro Fiuza, Chair of the Firm's Latin America Practice Group, is a partner in the Boston and New York offices. Alejandro's practice involves corporate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital transactions (with special focus on multi-jurisdictional transactional work), corporate restructurings, cross-border bankruptcy and insolvency, corporate finance, antitrust and international trade. He represents public and private multinationals, private equity and venture capital funds, GPs and investors, non-profit corporations and global entrepreneurs, in an array of transactions/ matters (in U.S., Latin America and Europe).
Alejandro has over 24 years experience assisting clients in cross-border transactional work, with emphasis in Latin America.
Career
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Alejandro was a partner at K&L Gates LLP. From 1998-2011, Alejandro was a partner at Marval O’Farrell & Mairal, the largest firm in Argentina, where he co-chaired its Private Equity and Venture Capital and International Trade Practice Groups. Before 1998, Alejandro worked at McDermott, Will & Emery, Abeledo Gottheil Abogados, and Le Pera & Lessa Abogados.
Alejandro has been a professor of Commercial Law and International Business Transactions at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He was also a professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and at Southwestern University School of Law.
