Alejandro Arze López

Alejandro is an Associate in the Public Affairs and Regulated Sectors Department of the Firm. His practice focuses on advising companies and financial institutions in the structuring, participation, and execution of major projects tendered by the Panamanian government and international financing organizations.

He has extensive experience, particularly in the construction, energy, insurance, and healthcare sectors. Throughout his career, he has successfully secured significant contracts for the supply of goods, provision of services, execution of works, and management of concessions.

In addition, he has advised well-known insurance and reinsurance companies in handling high-value claims across various lines and in the execution or subrogation of bonds.

Prior to joining the Firm, Alejandro served as a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Public Procurement departments of other prominent law firms. He is an active member of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE), a member of the National Bar Association of Panama, and a Certified Public Translator (English-Spanish).

He is also a full-time professor of Administrative Law and Insurance Law at Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua (USMA).

Prior to joining FABREGA MOLINO, Alejandro served as a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Public Procurement departments of prominent Panamanian law firms. He has extensive experience advising companies and financial institutions on major public procurement projects, government contracts and regulated-sector matters, as well as insurance and reinsurance companies on high-value claims and bonds. He is also a full-time professor of Administrative Law and Insurance Law at Universidad Católica Santa María La Antigua (USMA).

Assistance in the structuring of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the Panamericana East Highway and the Centenario Highway.

Regulatory advisor to several companies in the mining sector, in connection with the filing of their respective Investment Arbitration proceedings against the Republic of Panama.

Assistance during the execution of the contracts for the construction of the Llano Ñopo Educational Center and Health Center.

Regulatory legal advice to major clients, including Sony Pictures Entertainment, Colgate-Palmolive, Mitsubishi Corporation, JCDecaux Top Media, Exolum, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Oracle, McKinsey & Company, and JP Morgan Chase.
