Ahsan Mirza is one of the key members of McMillan’s PPP, Infrastructure, Project Finance and Financial Services groups. Over the past few years, Ahsan has significantly expended his client-base and practice expertise. Ahsan has been lead partner, co-lead partner, or key team member on various transactions that McMillan as acted on. He has extensive experience in project development and financing in the transportation, health, social infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. In addition to in-depth knowledge of the Ontario, BC and Alberta PPP models, he has gained valuable experience from his involvement in major federal infrastructure projects as well as municipal PPP projects procured by the cities of Saskatoon, Calgary, Moncton, Halifax, Peel. Ahsan has also acted as lead counsel to developers and lenders on various solar, wind, biomass, biogas, cogeneration and other renewable energy, liquefied natural gas, and traditional oil and gas project financings over the past few years, while also being actively involved in standard corporate debt financings as well.
