Ahsan Mirza is one of the key members of McMillan’s Infrastructure practice. He advises developers, project financiers, equity investors and contractors on project development and financing, with a focus on decarbonization, clean tech, climate finance and renewable energy transactions. Ahsan has acted as lead counsel on numerous solar, wind, biomass, biogas, waste and wastewater, cogeneration and other renewable energy project development and financing transactions. He is also one of the leading legal practitioners in Canada helping develop financing solutions for energy efficiency retrofit and decarbonization transactions. In addition to assisting clients on climate change solutions, Ahsan has extensive experience in the transportation, healthcare and social infrastructure sectors and in-depth knowledge of the Ontario, BC, Alberta and federal PPP procurement models.
