Ahmad Sergieh

Ahmad leads the firm’s Private Wealth and Family & Succession practice and is also Head of the Corporate Department. He advises high net worth individuals, families and family businesses on UAE and cross border wealth structuring, succession planning, family governance and the establishment of foundations, family investment and other wealth holding structures.

His practice includes advising on intergenerational succession, governance arrangements and the structuring and reorganisation of family owned businesses, investment holdings and other assets. Ahmad regularly works with families, trustees, family offices and international advisers on cross border private wealth matters involving the UAE.

Drawing on his wider corporate experience, Ahmad also advises on complex domestic and cross border restructurings, reorganisations and corporate governance matters, particularly where these form part of a broader succession or wealth planning strategy.

Prior to moving to Dubai, Ahmad practised corporate and commercial law and tax with a leading Canadian law firm and with Canada’s largest institutional investor. He is fluent in English, Arabic and French and holds an LLB and a Graduate Degree in Taxation and Commercial Law from Canada.
