Agostino Papa heads the Real Estate sector in Italy and is also responsible for the coordination of all sectors in Italy.
Agostino focuses on the regulation of the financial markets, having experience in assisting asset management companies, banks, financial intermediaries, investment firms, insurance companies and banking foundations, with regard to rules and regulations applicable to the relevant subjects, typical activities, products and customer relations.
He has experience in asset management and private equity funds, real estate funds, social housing and renewable energy funds.
Agostino provides assistance in the structuring and execution of transactions with investment funds and funds for public and private assets, offering innovative solutions. He has specific experience in organisational and procedural requirements for asset management companies, banks and brokers with regard to AML and organizational models in compliance with Italian Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, FATCA and the implementation of AIFMD.
Finally, he cooperates with the Italian authorities, by providing technical support in financial matters, in the primary and secondary legislative activity and consulting activity for industry associations. He assists corporate officers and asset managers, credit and financial intermediaries in administrative and judicial proceedings promoted by the supervisory authorities and aimed at the application of administrative sanctions.
