Practice Areas

Adam is a partner and the Chair of Torkin Manes’ Family Law Group, where he represents clients in all areas of family law, including divorce, parenting, property, support and domestic contracts. Adam’s practice regularly involves high net worth clients with complex financial and jurisdictional issues.

A passionate and an accomplished advocate, Adam acts on behalf of clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings, as well as before the courts at both trial and appellate levels. As an extension of his practice, in 2020, he was appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer of the Superior Court of Justice in Toronto and is a trained Mediator.

To complement his law practice, Adam has devoted many hours to the broader legal community. He is a Co-Director of the Osgoode Certificate in Family Law Skills and Practice, and is an instrumental contributor to the program’s design and execution. Aligned with his commitment to the profession, Adam was an Adjunct Professor at Queen’s University, Faculty of Law where he taught the family law course. He also frequently shares his knowledge about current family law issues through his column in the National Post, as well as in feature articles in other prominent legal publications.
