Monika Golat, an attorney-at-law since 2001, is specialized in tax law concerning business entities operating in Poland and outside its borders. The area of her interest includes the issues of value-added tax (VAT), issues of intra-EU settlements, corporate income tax (CIT), with particular emphasis on complex investment processes. Monika has collected impressive professional experience in the Department of Indirect Taxes of the Ministry of Finance, which is highly valued in conducting tax proceedings and representing entities before administrative courts.
Monika is the author and co-author of more than a dozen book publications and press articles, on the issues of criminal and fiscal proceedings and tax on goods and services.
In total, Monika has conducted several hundred cases before administrative courts. Recent successes include: obtaining, at the stage of proceedings before the Supreme Administrative Court, a favorable individual tax interpretation concerning: (i) income earned by financial institutions from interest on trust accounts, (ii) interest on bonds paid to a foreign entity; (iii) reversal by the Provincial Administrative Court in Olsztyn of the value-added tax sanction from the decision of the Director of the Chamber of Treasury on the deduction of VAT on an invoice issued for an unperformed service.

Bartlomiej Danko, a member of the Warsaw Bar Association since 2013, specializes in handling civil and commercial court proceedings before common courts, the Polish Supreme Court and arbitration courts. A lawyer focused onlitigation, including civil, commercial and corporate cases. His areas ofpractice are inparticular the pursuit ofclaims stemming from breaches ofcommercial and construction contracts, post-construction disputes related tocontractual regulations and warranties. Has vast experience in pursuing claims for payment in complicated commercial cases. Bartlomiej handles among others suits for payment with millions in compensation and contractual penalties.

Piotr Franczak, a member of the Warsaw Bar Association since 2013, cooperates with Today Legal on construction and real estate projects, where he has nearly 20 years of experience.
During his career Piotr has worked at leading Polish and international law firms. His area of expertise includes real estate transactions, zoning and construction matters, design and construction contracts, as well as commercialization of developments. Piotr holds PhD in law from University of Warsaw and LL.M. from University of London. Apart from English and native Polish, he speaks French and German.
Katharina Weiler (PhD) specializes in inheritance law, acts as mediator and executor of wills. She advises how to structure complex asset successions, the settlement of communities of heirs, the enforcement or defense of compulsory portion claims or other inheritance law disputes.
